Job summary

You will read drawings, set up and maintain equipment (SMAW, GMAW), lift up to 50 pounds, and support production during peak periods. Overtime may be required; a clean background check and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior welding experience.
• Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and safe operating practices.
• Ability to read drawings and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Must speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication to assemble hollow metal frames and components.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment (SMAW, GMAW).
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding; cut or alter materials as needed.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Follow safety, PPE, OSHA, and company policies.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or material defects.
• Perform general shop duties and maintain workspace cleanliness.
• Assist with door alterations, lite kit installations, on-site service, and local deliveries.
• Participate in shop meetings and support production during peak periods.
