Job summary

Stellar Energy Americas in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled welder for full-time, non-exempt hourly work in our fabrication facility. The role requires welding across positions using SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, with reading WPS/PQR and ensuring quality.

You will operate cranes or forklifts, follow safety regulations, and support ISO 9001 readiness while collaborating with fabrication teams. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a stable daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
• Related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Fluent in understanding job specific WPS / PQR’s and capable of setting machine up for performance in all positions to certified testing criteria.
• Analyze blueprints for weld insignia and the application thereof to assembly components on piping and structural systems.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding process to be completed per job specific requirements.
• Capable of visual observation of pre and post-welded surfaces; interpret fulfilled job requirements with precision measuring instruments.
• Interpret insufficient weld criteria and know how to blend to repair.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
• Ensure daily work assignments are completed with attention to quality, safety and health regulations.
• Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
• Comply with company policies, safety requirements; wear PPE per OSHA standards.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
