Position Title: Welder

Wage: $22.17-$24.58 per hour

Shift: 2nd (training on 1st)

Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm (training is 6:30am-2:30pm)

Work with precision on 16 to 10-gauge mild steel, bringing layouts and drawings to life on our afternoon shift with paid training on the first shift. Apply today or contact us if interested!

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Set-up and operate MIG welding machines, adjusting settings as required.
2. Weld on 16 gauge to 10-gauge mild steel, attaching accessories, fittings, or seam welding on parts.
3. Work from layout marks and simple drawings.
4. Use scales, squares, and power tools.
5. Assemble and tack weld repetitive jobs; finish weld and tack welded assemblies, usually in down and vertical positions.
6. Operate grinder to clean and shape welds.
7. Conduct visual and dimensional checks of own work.
8. Support the company's 5S program to maintain a neat and organized work area.
9. Notify supervisor of material shortages or concerns.
10. Work safely using required PPE to produce high-quality transformer components.

Welder Requirements:

1. Prior welding experience.
2. Ability to work evening or night shift.
3. Ability to read, write, and understand common vocabulary.
4. Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
5. Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, plans, layouts, and templates.
6. Successful completion of application, welding assessments, talent assessment, interview, drug, and background screening.
7. Reside within a reasonable commute to Washington, MO.
8. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
