Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks an experienced line clearance trimmer for the Northwestern OH region, including Findlay to Bowling Green. CDL holder and climbing experience preferred, with opportunities to work on safety‑driven pruning and removal for major electric utilities.

You’ll climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS, maintain equipment, and collaborate with a crew to service multiple Ohio locations. This is a full‑time, on‑site role with extensive benefits available from day one.

Qualificações

• Valid driver’s license required at hire.
• CDL‑A or CDL‑B with air brake endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance or related tree work experience preferred.
• Any state required pesticide licenses may be required.
• Professional arborist certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Climb and prune trees safely for utility work.
• Perform trimming and removal of trees near lines.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines and structures.
• Operate tools like chainsaws, chippers, lifts with care.
• Work as part of a crew and coordinate with foreperson.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
