Job summary

DARRAN, a leading furniture manufacturer in High Point, NC, is seeking an Upholstery Setup Technician to prepare frames for upholstery by installing webbing and spring systems and performing setup tasks in the upholstery department.

You will read work orders, gather materials, operate staple guns and sewing machines, ensure correct patterns, and work with the upholstery team to maintain quality and safety in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in web up and spring up for furniture manufacturing, preferably in seating.
• Familiarity with basic upholstery processes and materials.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and pneumatic staple guns safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Webbing and Spring System Installation: receive and inspect frames, determine placement, measure webbing, attach with staple guns, ensure proper tension and density, and inspect for quality.
• Upholstery Setup Duties: gather materials, prepare workstations, organize and stage materials, assist in setup of upholstery machinery, ensure correct patterns and templates, communicate material needs, maintain cleanliness.
• Quality Control and Safety: perform tasks meeting quality standards, adhere to safety policies, operate hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
