Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Thermo King systems on-site in Indiana. You will diagnose and repair refrigeration units, work with HVAC and electrical systems, and keep service records up to date.

The role requires 1–2 years in transport refrigeration or HVAC, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to work overtime with a valid driver’s license. Tools must be provided by you.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree/certification a plus
• 1–2 years experience with transport refrigeration and/or HVAC
• EPA 608 Universal or Type 1/2 certification
• Must supply own tools
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work overtime and on-call as needed

Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) Thermo King Midwest is an award-winning Authorized Thermo King dealership group providing a complete line of refrigerated transportation products, including parts, service, and aftermarket accessories.

What you will do: You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Thermo King and Carrier Refrigeration units; Diagnose, repair, adjust and modify all components; and Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.

What you will bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent Technical degree or certification, a plus but not required.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with transport refrigeration and or HVAC experience Thermo King refrigeration repair or HVAC Diesel engine repair, a plus but not required.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

• Ability to regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects.

• Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Must be able to pass a DOT approved physical
