Job summary

Collier County is seeking a skilled tradesworker to oversee carpentry, general maintenance, and repair tasks across county facilities. You will perform renovations, install fixtures, build shelves, and repair walls and roofs as part of routine operations.

Responsibilities include responding to service calls, preparing surfaces for painting, and coordinating with other trades to ensure safe, efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of apprentice tradespersons and directs unskilled workers in carpentry and maintenance tasks.
• Receives work orders, performs construction, maintenance and repair tasks for seasonal or daily operations.
• Repairs walls/ceilings, builds shelves, repairs roofs, and installs fixtures and finishes.
• Prepares surfaces for painting and applies paints with spray, roller or brush.
• Responds to service calls and limits further damage to facilities.
