Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational trades training preferred.
• Two years of skilled trades experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret sketches.
• Background allowing access to secured areas per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs demolition, salvage, renovation, alteration, installation and repair across county buildings, equipment, facilities, systems and grounds.
• Ensures safety rules are followed and work adheres to procedures.
• Performs skilled upgrades in flooring, masonry, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing and HVAC tasks.
• Reads blueprints, interprets sketches, and uses tools for maintenance tasks.
• Lifts heavy materials, supports crews or contractors, and maintains records.
