AWC Frac Technology in Conroe, TX is seeking a skilled Submerged Arc Welder to join our hands-on team. This labor-intensive role focuses on welding and repairing frac-related equipment in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of welding experience with SAW familiarity, and is comfortable operating heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding experience.
• SAW experience preferred; strong welding operations knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding school certificates or related associate degree valued.
• Military service appreciated but not required.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and equipment interface.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
• Overtime and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform production and repair welding on valves and frac equipment.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Utilize welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW.
• Read and interpret welding specifications, part drawings, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work.
• Safely operate grinders, saws, plasma cutters, and flame-cutting tools.
• Use lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts.
• Monitor and maintain welding supply inventory.
• Complete required training per HR, Safety, and Quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
