Job summary

Konecranes in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced welder to join our fabrication team. You will perform FCAW welding as primary process and support MIG and SAW as needed, reading drawings and welding procedures to produce first-pass quality.

The role requires at least 6 years of welding experience, the ability to pass AWS and CWB tests, lift up to 50 pounds, and work overtime as required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, and welding procedures.
• Must pass AWS and CWB welding qualification tests.
• Demonstrated high first-pass weld acceptance rates.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW welding as the primary process and support MIG and SAW as needed.
• Weld heavy and light structural steel assemblies per drawings and procedures.
• Interpret weld symbols and welding procedures for quality results.
• Verify temperatures and perform preheat/interpass checks as required.
• Operate welding equipment and perform gouging, grinding, and repair work.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety directives.
• Assist with training less experienced welders and support maintenance.
• Oversee overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely.
