Job summary

North Rock Concrete and Excavating is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher/Structural Concrete Worker to join our construction team in Utah. The role emphasizes hands-on finishing of structural and flatwork concrete, precise layout, and adherence to plans.

The candidate should read and understand construction plans, perform accurate layout, set forms, place and finish concrete, and work safely around equipment. A strong teamwork ethic and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional concrete finishing experience.
Strong experience with structural and commercial concrete work.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and details.
Ability to perform job-site layout from plans, elevations and control points.
Knowledge of formwork, rebar, concrete placement, finishing and curing.

Responsibilities

Read and understand plans, blueprints, specifications, and details.
Perform accurate site layout using plans, elevations, benchmarks, and control points.
Set forms and establish proper elevations, grades, slopes, and dimensions.
Install reinforcing materials and assist with concrete pours.
Finish concrete using floats, trowels, edgers, and other tools.
Perform structural concrete work: footings, foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs.
Complete flatwork: sidewalks, pads, driveways, floors, curbs.
Strip and clean forms; assist with formwork as needed.
Operate equipment safely and communicate project requirements clearly.
