Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher / Structural Concrete Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structural and flatwork concrete, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality finished work.

This position requires someone who can work effectively as part of a crew, read and understand construction plans, perform accurate layout, and safely complete all phases of concrete placement and finishing.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and details.
• Perform accurate job-site layout using plans, elevations, benchmarks, and control points.
• Set forms and establish proper elevations, grades, slopes, and dimensions.
• Install and work around rebar, wire mesh, embeds, and other reinforcing materials.
• Assist with concrete pours and properly place, spread, screed, and consolidate concrete.
• Operate hand and power tools used in concrete construction.
• Finish concrete using bull floats, hand floats, fresnos, trowels, edgers, groovers, and other finishing tools.
• Perform structural concrete work including footings, foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs, and other structural elements.
• Perform flatwork including sidewalks, pads, driveways, floors, curbs, and other concrete surfaces.
• Cut and install control joints and perform concrete repair work as needed.
• Maintain accurate grades, elevations, slopes, dimensions, and finished surfaces.
• Strip and clean forms and assist with concrete formwork.
• Safely operate and assist with concrete-related equipment.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and other crew members regarding layout, elevations, and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Strong experience with structural concrete and/or commercial concrete work.
• Ability to properly finish and detail concrete surfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and structural details.
• Ability to perform job-site layout from plans, including elevations, dimensions, grades, slopes, and control points.
• Experience with formwork, rebar, concrete placement, and layout.
• Knowledge of proper concrete placement, finishing, curing, and jointing techniques.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active construction sites.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, and working for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
