Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to perform a range of tasks both independently and with the Maintenance crew. You will assist carpenters, painters, and other crew members, help access materials and lay them out, and perform secondary functions to support task completion while keeping job sites clean.

You will also pick up materials from suppliers, perform shovel work and material hauling, and contribute to rehabilitation projects as assigned by a lead person.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions in a safe and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of safety standards around hand and power tools.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members and homebuyers/renters.
• Ensure housing property is secured at day end.
• Demonstrate reliable daily attendance and punctuality.
• Able to work in a crew or independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance carpenters, painters, and other crew with home maintenance tasks.
• Assist with material handling and layout for tasks; prepare surfaces and cleanup.
• Pick up materials from suppliers when needed.
• Perform duties such as shovel work, hauling materials, and disposing of waste.
• Undertake maintenance/rehabilitation projects as assigned by lead person.
• Attend training to improve job skills as required.
