The Pipe Layer assists Foremen and Equipment Operators, digs trenches, installs pipes, clears sites, and helps maintain safety and productivity on diverse projects across Cascade and Treasure Valley. The role emphasizes physical work outdoors, adherence to safety procedures, and effective

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Previous construction or underground utility experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with team members, supervisors, customers, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with coworkers, residents, and customers.
• Follow directions from Foremen and Equipment Operators on daily tasks and project expectations.
• Assist with the installation and alignment of underground piping and related materials.
• Signal equipment operators to assist with the alignment, movement, and positioning of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Perform daily safety and equipment maintenance checks.
• Notify Foremen or Equipment Operators of maintenance needs or necessary repairs.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow established safety procedures.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate potential hazards.
• Assist Equipment Operators and other crew members as needed.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently when qualified.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently and safely.
