Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Marion, AL team. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections, data entry, and handling specimens for testing while delivering excellent patient service.

The position supports travel to additional sites as needed. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training or 3+ months of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
