Job summary

Iowa Skilled Nursing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient assessments, planning, interventions and evaluations in a skilled nursing setting. The role uses the nursing process to deliver quality care, ensures safety, complies with infection prevention standards, and supports patients to regain independence and return home when possible.

Local contractors welcome; active RN license, BLS required, ACLS preferred, and flexibility in work hours are requested.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• One year recent experience preferred; skilled setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must have electronic charting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions and evaluations.
• Use the nursing process to deliver quality care per standards.
• Ensure professional nursing care for all patients.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Assess safety risks and implement precautions; follow infection prevention standards.
• Assist patients in regaining abilities to return home at their highest level.
