Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center in Roswell, New Mexico is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team for both full-time and part-time roles. RNs will provide and oversee direct nursing care, perform resident assessments, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active RN license in good standing in the State of New Mexico.
• Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to supervise, delegate, and provide guidance to nursing staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate clinical documentation.
• Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans, physician/provider orders, and established clinical standards.
• Perform comprehensive and ongoing resident assessments and promptly respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely and accurately within the RN scope of practice.
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians/providers, families, and appropriate interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, CMAs, LPNs, therapy, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
• Supervise, delegate, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff.
• Support nursing students and developing healthcare professionals through appropriate education and mentorship.
• Provide education to residents and families regarding medications, treatments, care plans, and health management.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations using sound clinical judgment and established protocols.
• Participate in infection prevention, quality assurance, performance improvement, and resident safety initiatives.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, comfort, and quality of life.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, resident rights, and applicable state and federal requirements.
