Job summary

Atrium Centers is seeking a Nursing Scheduler / Central Supply Clerk in Marshall, MI to support resident safety by managing nursing schedules and ensuring timely delivery of essential medical supplies.

Requires at least 1 year of long-term care experience and experience with nursing scheduling, staffing, payroll, or central supply; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask and meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and maintain nursing schedules for CNA/STNAs and licensed staff.
• Schedule team members according to census, targets, Atrium guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Review schedules daily to ensure adequate coverage and address gaps.
• Communicate staffing concerns and trends to the Director of Nursing and leadership team.
• Contact staff to fill open shifts and support staffing reliability.
• Monitor schedules for compliance with pay rules, staffing ratios, and CMS requirements.
• Track staffing trends related to vacancies, resignations, and terminations.
• Post schedules and communicate updates clearly and timely.

What You’ll Do

Nursing Scheduling & Staffing

• Create, manage, and maintain nursing schedules for CNA/STNAs and licensed staff
• Schedule team members according to census, PPD targets, Atrium guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Review schedules daily to ensure adequate coverage and address gaps
• Communicate staffing concerns and trends to the Director of Nursing and leadership team
• Contact staff to fill open shifts and support staffing reliability
• Monitor schedules for compliance with pay rules, staffing ratios, and CMS requirements
• Track staffing trends related to vacancies, resignations, and terminations
• Post schedules and communicate updates clearly and timely

Central Supply

• Order, receive, store, and distribute medical supplies and equipment
• Maintain supply rooms in a clean, organized, and safe manner
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies based on established par levels
• Stock nursing units with required medical and personal care supplies
• Verify incoming orders against invoices and packing slips
• Clean, inspect, and maintain medical equipment (IV pumps, poles, etc.)
• Report equipment or supply issues promptly to nursing leadership

Safety, Compliance & Support

• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution policies
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
• Support interdisciplinary teamwork and quality improvement initiatives
• Attend required meetings, training, and in-services

What You Bring

• At least one (1) year experience in a long-term care setting
• Experience with nursing scheduling, staffing, payroll, or central supply
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage detailed work
• Basic computer skills, including scheduling or inventory systems
• Clear communication skills and a professional, team-focused attitude
• Ability to meet physical and regulatory requirements of the role
