Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Amityville, NY seeks an Assembly B to perform mechanical assembly on electro-mechanical units, including soldering wires and PCB components. The role requires hand work or automated production equipment, adherence to J-STD-001/IPC-610 and quality standards, and documentation of work and process records.

The position offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, second shift, and opportunities for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 0–2 years experience.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and hand soldering.
• J-STD-001 soldering certification preferred.
• Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment such as drills, rivet guns, and sanders.
• Solder wires, terminals, PCB through-hole and SMT per IPC-610.
• Inspect components and subassemblies for defects.
• Maintain assembly and quality records.
• Communicate status to Assembly Manager.
• Work overtime as needed.
