Job summary

Boise Co-op is seeking a Meat Cutter to cut, trim, grind, and wrap all meat and seafood products to our standards of freshness and quality. You will prepare roasts, steaks, poultry, and specialty items for full-service and Grab & Go cases while maintaining safety and sanitation.

Two years of meat cutting experience in retail preferred; a valid Food Handler’s Certificate is required. This position offers early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a busy refrigerated environment with

Qualifications

• Two years of meat cutting experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required.
• Strong knife skills with safety and sanitation discipline.
• Good math for weights, measures, and pricing.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, grind, and wrap all types of meat and seafood according to company specs.
• Prepare roasts, steaks, poultry, seafood, and specialty items for stock in cases.
• Produce house-made items to meet production goals.
• Maintain proper product rotation and monitor temperatures for safety and compliance.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and cases.
