Job summary

Boise Co-op is seeking a Meat & Seafood Associate to support preparation, display, and rotation of fresh products while upholding food safety and cleanliness. You will engage customers, learn product details, and help maintain organized displays in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include stocking, labeling, dating, and merchandising, following safety procedures, and using knives and cutting equipment safely. Training provided; valid Food Handler’s Certificate required soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Certificate required shortly after hire.
• Previous meat department experience welcome but not required.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by answering questions and guiding customers.
• Learn about meat and seafood products, including cuts, prep methods, handling, storage and rotation.
• Prepare house-made products such as burgers, sausage, wings, carne asada, and smoked meats.
