Job summary

Roche Bros. Supermarkets is seeking a meat department associate to process and stock a variety of meat items, ensuring freshness and attractive displays while delivering excellent customer service in a busy store in Massachusetts.

You will cut beef, pork, poultry, and lamb to company standards, weigh and price items, stock cases, and maintain sanitation and temperature controls. Flexibility to meet store needs is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of all cuts of meat.
• ServSafe certified.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English with ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work a schedule based on store needs.
• Authorized to work within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Commit to the customer‑first approach and work with associates to build a strong meat team.
• Maintain high associate morale with respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented collaboration.
• Have knowledge of various cuts of meat, including special cuts.
• Wrap products in trays, weigh and price cut meat.
• Cut beef, pork, veal, poultry, and lamb to company standards.
• Stock meat case, freezer, and other displays neatly.
• Unload meat deliveries and store product properly.
• Keep back room and display areas clean and organized; monitor temperatures and report issues.
• Rotate products FIFO according to policy and dates.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and practice sanitation procedures.
• Exercise safe practices on meat department equipment.
