Bader is hiring a Maintenance Technician Skilled for Bierman Place, located at Bierman Place, 600 10th Ave, Minneapolis. This full-time, benefit-eligible position supports skilled building maintenance across sinks, windows, floors, plumbing, and HVAC components, with unit turnover tasks and general grounds work.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with higher hours during peak student move-in season (mid-August to mid-September). No on-call after-hours responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2 years: High Rise/ Multi-Family
• 2 years: Pools
• 2 years: Low Voltage
• 2 years: Maintenance Technician
• Boilers - 1st Class C
• EPA - Universal
• Preferred: Certified Pool Operator

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts and passage locks.
• Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.
