Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Fond du Lac, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st or 2nd shift.

Maintenance tasks include troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical breakdowns on production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and operating related machinery and cranes. The role requires reading schematics/blueprints and familiarity with PLCs, HVAC systems, and automated assembly lines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Familiar with Industrial HVAC systems.
• Familiar with automated assembly lines and related systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical problems, dismantling and repairing equipment, including pumps, conveyors and gearboxes.
• Welding experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot breakdowns and diagnose causes of mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical problems on production equipment and repair as feasible.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and systems.
• Operate trucks, overhead cranes, and aerial platforms.
• Use computerized work order system and complete required training to use the system.

Wage: $22.00-$24.00/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot breakdowns and diagnose causes of mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical system problems on production equipment and execute most feasible method of repair
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and systems
• Operate trucks, overhead cranes, and aerial platforms
• Use computerized work order system and any training required to learn the system

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Good mechanical ability and manual dexterity
• Able to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints
• Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers
• Familiar with Industrial HVAC Systems
• Familiar with automated assembly lines and systems related to them
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical problems, dismantling mechanical equipment, securing correct parts, repairing and reassembling mechanical equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes
• Ability to weld preferred but not required
