Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a Pleasant Prairie, WI manufacturing site. This is a direct-hire opportunity on 2nd or 3rd shift.

You will perform preventive maintenance on process, packaging, and building equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, install new production and facility equipment, and uphold safety and quality standards. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; technical college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years as a maintenance mechanic.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical prints and schematics.
• Experience with packaging equipment; PLC/controls experience.

Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic Wage: $75,000-$83,000/year Shift: 2nd, 3rd Hours: 2:45pm-11:15pm, 10:45pm-7:15am

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a company in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all process, packaging, and building equipment
• Troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment
• Assist with installation of new production and facility equipment
• Identify and address safety and quality issues as discovered
• Work effectively as part of a team

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical college degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years as a maintenance mechanic
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Ability to set up and operate shop equipment and portable power tools
• Experience with packaging equipment
• Ability to weld, machine, and fabricate
• Experience with high-speed rotary liquid fillers, labelers, and conveyors
• Experience rebuilding diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, progressive cavity pumps, Westlock control valves, and gearboxes
• Plumbing and piping skills
• PLC/controls experience
• Experience working with Krones filling/packaging equipment is a plus
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints and schematics
• Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers, circuit boards, VFD drives, control circuitry, level sensors, flow sensors, pressure sensors, pumps, seals, bearings, solenoids, motors, motor starters, relays, etc.
