Job description

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Wage: $30.00 - $35.00/hour

Shift: 1st or 2nd

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

1. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on time and monitor results
2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment
3. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine parts and repairs needed
4. Communicate problems, repairs, solutions, and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, Coordinators, and affected employees
5. Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting
6. Install and align new equipment or move old equipment when needed
7. Work as a team with other Maintenance Technicians to accomplish workload
8. Look up components and parts in electrical/mechanical manuals
9. Maintain and improve knowledge of equipment and machinery
10. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Requirements for Maintenance Technician:

1. Associate's degree or Valid Journeyman card as a Maintenance Mechanic preferred
2. 3-5 years of previous experience in plant maintenance or machine repair; pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, or industrial skills
3. Advanced knowledge of electronic components, PLC controls, ACDC drives and motors, servo drives and motors, and sensors preferred
4. Basic computer skills, Email, and CMMS software
5. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
6. Ability to read blueprints and schematics
7. Ability to read a tape measure preferred
8. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
9. Detail-oriented, organized, and works with a sense of urgency
10. Ability to work additional hours as needed
