Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Waukesha, WI is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support electrical and mechanical maintenance in a growing food manufacturing facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and maintaining high-speed production and packaging equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

This position offers a wage of $32.00–$42.00 per hour, on 2nd or 3rd shift, with hours from 1:45pm to 10:15pm or 9:45pm to 6:45am.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance technician experience within food manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent PLC systems.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed packaging lines.
• Food-grade welding experience required.
• Knowledge of GMPs, safety, and food manufacturing compliance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CMMS or maintenance software experience preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain food manufacturing and high-speed packaging equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems
• Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize downtime
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment and maintenance processes
• Maintain maintenance documentation and CMMS records
• Ensure maintenance shop cleanliness and organization
• Follow GMPs, safety standards, and food manufacturing regulations
