Job summary

Swan Surfaces is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the reliability of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced environment located in Centralia, Illinois.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and the ability to read schematics and work with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Overtime and weekend work may be required; safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (including PLC troubleshooting preferred).
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams to support daily operations and resolve issues quickly.

Position Summary

Swan Surfaces is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the performance and reliability of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in industrial maintenance, with a strong ability to diagnose issues and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

• Manufacturing facility environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as needed
