Job summary

Cheeze Kurls, LLC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician II for the 3rd shift in South Beloit, IL. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems on packaging equipment and complete maintenance work orders while ensuring GMP compliance and safety.

You will participate in installing new equipment, perform PM scheduling, and help improve equipment reliability. The role requires an Associates degree or 5 years of maintenance experience, plus forklift/m-a-lift experience and OSHA

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, or 5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
• Electrical skills, including use of voltmeters, ohm meters, and pipe benders.
• MIG/TIG Welding experience.
• Troubleshoot techniques related to PLC controls, including PLC processor faults, input output failures, and inaccurate analog signals.
• Problem solving abilities, strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
• Forklift, manlift and boom lift experience.
• Wastewater experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMPs, dress code, and product safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures on packaging equipment; perform root-cause analysis.
• Complete all maintenance work orders and manage PM schedules.
• Assist in installing new equipment and improving processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and enforce lockout/tagout procedures.
• Work with team to keep programs up to date and equipment reliable.
• Operate wastewater treatment plant components as required.
• Exhibit forward thinking on future equipment purchases to improve efficiency.

Salary Range: $28.00 To $38.00 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Follow the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), uniform and dress code, and product safety requirements.
2. 2. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, keeping work area clean and safe at all times.
3. 3. Maintain a good attendance record and positive attitude.
4. 4. Support company policies and be safety conscious at all times.
5. 5. Successfully complete all maintenance work orders upon assignment.
6. 6. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and utilize root cause analysis skills to determine best repair methods on all packaging equipment.
7. 7. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) schedule of equipment.
8. 8. Know and perform lock out/tag out on all packaging equipment.
9. 9. Provide technical feedback to the Direct of Operations to help operate the equipment efficiently.
10. 10. Upon assignment, assist in installation of new equipment.
11. 11. Work independently and determine proper action in the absence of direct manager support.
12. 12. Recommend enhancements to equipment and procedures, as needed.
13. 13. Work with the team to ensure all programs are working and up to date.
14. 14. Work with the team to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
15. 15. Exhibit forward thinking on future equipment purchases to make systems more efficient and reliable.
16. 16. Be responsible for all equipment at all facilities.
17. 17. Work extended schedules as the needs of the business dictate.
18. 18. Operate and troubleshoot issues with wastewater treatment plant operations.
19. 19. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, or 5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
• Computer proficiency in Word and Excel a plus.
• Electrical skills, including use of voltmeters, ohm meters, and pipe benders.
• Wastewater experience preferred
• Mig/TIg Welding experience.
• Troubleshoot techniques related to PLC controls, including PLC processor faults, input output failures, and inaccurate analog signals.
• Problem solving abilities, strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Determine root cause of failure in complex electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and meeting situations with other Team Members and the Operations Team.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
• Forklift, manlift and boom lift experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job:
