Silgan Closures in Evansville, IN is hiring a Machine Operator to operate automatic strip fed presses, luggers and ovens. You will load materials, monitor quality, perform basic setup adjustments and record data.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to work any shift. Offering starting pay of $20.42 per hour with shift differential, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k)/pension plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated strip-fed press, lugger, compo machine and oven.
• Load strips into press magazine and ensure production quality.
• Inspect caps visually and with test blocks, record data in SPC system.
• Grease, oil and maintain machines; assist mechanic as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe; work across shifts.
