Job summary

Silgan Closures in Evansville, IN is seeking a Machine Operator to run sheet fed presses, luggers, and ovens while ensuring quality and safety. You will load materials, perform routine inspections, and keep accurate records in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Starting pay is $21.10 per hour with shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, plus comprehensive benefits, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and safety programs. Training is provided to support career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist/bend for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb ladders, be lifted in scissor lift, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, adjust, and diagnose sheet fed presses and luggers, compound machines, and ovens.
• Change loads of plate.
• Inspect caps (visually and using instrumentation).
• Remove full cartons, position empty cartons, seal and stack full cartons.
• Assist with removing and installing tooling, guides, and chutes.
• Perform simple tool polishing.
• Setup and adjust timing mechanisms.
• Remove jams and lubricate equipment.
• Complete required paperwork.
