Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB in Mason City, Iowa is seeking Skilled Machine Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift to operate presses and CNC equipment, ensuring quality and safety in manufacturing hollow metal doors and frames.

You will read orders, set up machines, perform adjustments, inspect parts, document data, and participate in lean initiatives with a team. High school or equivalent required; OT may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; technical certification or relevant experience is a plus.
• Previous machine operation experience required or preferred.
• Ability to carry 5-30 pounds.
• Ability to read manufacturing or shop drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use measurement tools.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor machinery such as presses, CNC equipment, or other production machines.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Perform routine adjustments and minor troubleshooting for optimal machine performance.
• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain production records and document operational data.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic equipment care.
• Keep work area clean and organized per 5S standards.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
