Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for a highly dependable team player to join our staff as a SKILLED MACHINE OPERATOR to run PODS on the production line. Day Shift is 6:00AM - 6:30PM with a 36-hour schedule paid as 40 hours per week.

Starting payrate is $26/HR. Requirements include 1–3 years manufacturing experience, ability to read/write/speak English, and solid PC skills; SAP experience is a plus. Wages on-demand option is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience required.
• Food & bottling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate in a plant environment.
• Good communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operating PODS.
• Troubleshooting, minor maintenance, inputting items into SAP.
• Assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain production records (written and computer-based).
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets and specs.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation to maintain equipment.
• Assist with training in the functional area as needed.
• Maintain safety/quality awareness and urgency.
• Foster teamwork aligned with company values.
• Adhere to safety policies and GMPs; follow regulatory requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Thursday Friday and Saturday.

Day Shift is 6:00AM - 6:30PM.

All Crews in Production are required to work an occasional Sunday - which are preplanned.

Work three 12 hours shifts each week and get paid for 40 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Operating PODS
• Troubleshooting, performing minor maintenance repairs and inputting items into the SAP system.
• Engage in problem solving to assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain accurate production records that are written, and computer based.
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
• Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed
• Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a high degree of urgency.
• Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Follows all DFA GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
