Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a skilled machine operator to run PODS on the production line. This role offers 36 hours paid as 40 hours with three 12-hour shifts and potential Sunday work. Training and safety compliance are emphasized, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Day shift runs 6:00AM to 6:30PM, and occasional Sundays may be required. Wages are paid on a schedule that supports on-demand access to earnings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1-3 years prior manufacturing experience.
• Food & bottling experience preferred.
• Be an effective communicator.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operating PODS
• Troubleshooting, performing minor maintenance repairs and inputting items into the SAP system.
• Engage in problem solving to assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain accurate production records that are written, and computer based.
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
• Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed
• Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a high degree of urgency.
• Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Follows all DFA GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.

All Crews in Production are required to work an occasional Sunday - which are preplanned.
