Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic safety practices and outdoor work.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean up construction sites, including clearing debris and loading/unloading materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely (shovels, saws, jackhammers, etc.).
• Dig trenches, backfill, and compact earth to grade specs.
• Assist in assembling temporary structures, scaffolding, and shoring.
• Perform basic carpentry, concrete, and masonry tasks as directed.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Flag traffic around construction zones and control flow.
• Assist with installing pipes and utilities.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including clearing debris, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively, such as shovels, rakes, picks, jackhammers, saws, and compactors.
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures, scaffolding, and shoring.
• Perform basic carpentry, concrete work, and masonry tasks as directed.
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Perform flagging duties to control traffic flow around construction zones.
• Assist with the installation of pipes, utilities, and other infrastructure components.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in heavy civil construction or a related field.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods.
• Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools common to construction.
• Knowledge of basic construction safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
