Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support telecom construction projects in Eagle River, Wisconsin. You will perform manual tasks like digging trenches, handling building materials, and site preparation using hand tools while working outdoors on active job sites.

You will transport equipment, install and maintain aerial and underground cable systems, troubleshoot field issues, and learn to use diverse tools as part of a collaborative team on long-term local projects.

• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily and build maintain cable systems.
• Troubleshoot field problems as they arise and learn to operate various tools.

As a Skilled Laborer/Groundman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

In Addition, You Will

• Responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each dayBuild and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment
