Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. is seeking skilled laborers to join our Waterbury-area team. The role involves hands-on construction tasks under supervision, using hand and power tools while adhering to safety regulations.

You will support carpenters, masons and other trades to ensure timely project completion. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years on residential/commercial sites, OSHA 10/30 certification, reliable transportation, and a willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Own hand tools and belt; reliable transportation.
• 1–3 years of experience on residential/commercial job sites.

• Able to work in all weather conditions; capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean up at job site, remove debris.
• Navigate construction site terrain and direct traffic for safety.
• Assist with loading and delivery of materials.
• Perform demolition and rubbish removal; maintain site cleanliness.
• Operate hand and power tools as required and certified.
• Support carpenters, masons and other trades as needed.
• Assist with positioning and aligning components for installations.

ROI is currently seeking team oriented Laborers to join our growing team in the Waterbury area! The qualified individual will work directly under the supervision of a Laborer performing the functions listed below using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, while conforming to local building codes. Our ideal candidate should be hardworking individual who will show up on time and finish out the job to the best of their ability.

Position Requirements (May Include But Not Limited To):

• Perform setup and clean up tasks at job site, including removal of debris
• Navigate construction job site terrain.
• Direct traffic within construction site when necessary to ensure safety of work crew.
• Assist with the loading and delivery of materials.
• Demolition & rubbish removal; site maintenance/cleaning.
• May operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, as well, as, company policy and procedures.
• Provide labor support as necessary for carpenters, masons, and other specialized contractors.
• Assists mechanic to position, align, and fit together construction components to complete the installation of systems and work assigned in a timely and quality fashion.
• Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout.
• Places and moves equipment and materials.
• Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers parts together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).
• Transports and furnishes mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.

Position Qualifications:

• Applicant will provide own hand tools, belt, and have reliable transportation.
• 1-3 years of experience working residential and/or commercial job sites.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
• Willing to work and travel in all weather conditions
• Experience with exposure to heights, chemicals, dust, dirt, fumes, noise, sludge and moving mechanical parts
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to spend long periods of time in awkward positions such as bending, reaching and kneeling.
• Ability to work under pressure, collaborate with diverse personalities, and complete assignments according to project timelines
• Ability to work 40 hours a week, and over time if needed
