Job Overview: As a Skilled Laborer at TSU One, you will be a key part of our gas distribution operations, assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas pipelines and related infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced technicians and foremen to ensure that all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Your experience with Atmos Energy and/or One Gas (ONG) systems will be critical in ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas pipelines, meters, and other gas distribution systems.
• Operate and maintain construction tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and small machinery.
• Assist with trenching, excavation, backfilling, and other manual labor tasks related to pipeline installation and repairs.
• Support the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring all materials and equipment are organized and safe to use.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and industry regulations, including those specific to gas distribution and pipeline operations.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure installations and repairs meet industry and company standards.
• Troubleshoot and assist with the identification and resolution of issues in gas distribution systems.
• Assist with performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project execution and timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all environmental and safety guidelines.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and stay up to date with industry practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled labor role, with a focus on gas distribution, and familiarity with Atmos Energy and/or One Gas (ONG) systems.
• Strong knowledge of gas distribution systems, pipeline installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to operate construction tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions and environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems related to gas distribution systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience specifically with Atmos Energy and/or One Gas (ONG) systems.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Class C Driver’s License
