Job summary

QXO is seeking a skilled Welder to fabricate and weld metal components for building products. You will read drawings, set up equipment, and produce high-quality welds while meeting production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years welding experience, strong attention to detail, and AWS certification preferred. Work is performed in manufacturing and fabrication settings with safety-first practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of welding or metal fabrication experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, structural steel, rebar fabrication, or construction environments.
• AWS welding certification or equivalent preferred.
• Overtime may be required based on production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core welding per work orders and specs.
• Read fabrication drawings and production orders to guide work.
• Measure, lay out, fit, cut, and prepare steel components.
• Set up welding equipment and fixtures per specs.
• Align and secure components using layout tools.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair metal assemblies to spec.
• Torch cutting, material prep, and finishing operations.
• Produce quality welds while meeting schedules.
