Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is seeking a Production Welder to fabricate, fit, and weld metal components for production. The role emphasizes precision welding, reading drawings, and meeting safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work across MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core processes, support production schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining equipment and a clean, safe workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MIG welding or metal fabrication experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, structural steel, rebar fabrication, industrial fabrication, or construction environments.
• AWS welding certification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings, and measurements.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints and production work orders to guide welds and fabrication.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core welding according to work orders and specifications.
• Prepare materials, fit, cut, grind, and assemble components to meet dimensions and quality requirements.
• Set up welding equipment, fixtures, clamps, and materials per production specifications.
• Inspect welds and fabricated products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Support production schedules and safety requirements in a fast-paced environment.
