Job summary

Schar Heating & Cooling is seeking experienced HVAC Service technicians to perform maintenance and diagnostics on residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems. You will deliver high-quality customer experiences and inspect systems in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC service experience required, 3–5 years preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• EPA 608 Certification required; Nate Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance appointments and diagnostics on residential and commercial systems.
• Provide customers with a high-quality experience and inspections per standards.
• Work within on-call rotation including weekends, overtime and evenings as needed.

Position Summary: We are looking for skilled individuals who seek a rewarding career in HVAC. We are seeking HVAC Service technicians to perform maintenance appointments and diagnostics on residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems, and provide the customer with a high-quality experience. Inspections are performed according to company and industry standards.

Work start and end time: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (On call - Weekends, Overtime & Evenings as needed)

General Qualifications needed for this position:

• High personal integrity

• Professional appearance required
• Must have HVAC Service experience, preferred 3 to 5 years minimum.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Clean or near clean driving record
• Must be able to be honest, no matter what
• Motivated work ethic
• Desire to learn

Technical Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagram and blueprints
• Understanding refrigerant cycle, repairs, diagnostics
• Understanding of gas furnace function and repairs
• Understanding of boilers, Geothermal, etc
• Be familiar with tools, mechanical repairs, and electrical diagnostics
• Experience making repair and replacement decisions
• Advanced customer service skills - must be personable & possess good customer relation skills
• Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices (preferred)
• Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
  
• Service Titan software experience a plus
• MeasureQuick experience a plus

These skills will help with pay and likelihood of hire:

• Customer service and general problem solving
• Customer / coworker references are a plus
• Existing ownership of applicable tools
• Experience with measureQuick and ServiceTitan
• Nate Certification
• EPA 608 Certification
