Job summary

Green Tanner Industrial is seeking an experienced heavy equipment technician to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment and fixed plant systems, ensuring safety and production readiness. You will diagnose, perform mechanical/hydraulic repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance while documenting work orders in CMMS.

Welding/fabrication support and rigging assistance are expected as needed. The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, teamwork, and safety awareness in on-site

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year apprenticeship with documented employment and safety compliance.
• Experience in fabrication, hydraulics, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong communication, problem solving, teamwork, and time management.
• OSHA 10 in construction and MSHA preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and fixed plant systems.
• Provide diagnostics, mechanical/hydraulic repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Document CMMS work orders accurately and close them out.
• Support rigging activities under supervision and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
• Prepare follow-up repairs, lubrication, alignment improvements to reduce downtime.
