Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking a qualified welder to join our fabrication team in Salisbury, NC. You will perform diverse welding processes on crusher parts, read blueprints, and operate heavy-duty tools to ensure high-quality fabrication.

Duties include maintaining a safety-first culture, handling outdoors work in all weather, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Proficiency with measuring tools and basic computing for reporting is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and weld symbols.
• Able to measure parts with tape measures, pi tapes and straight edges.
• Basic computer skills to report and transfer information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety-first culture and comply with site rules.
• Perform weld build up on crusher parts using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW.
• Maneuver large workpieces with positioners and manipulators.
• Cut materials using oxyacetylene, plasma cutters, and grinders.
• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols for fabrication tasks.
• Utilize shop tools like ironworker, bandsaws, and magnetic drills.
• Complete tool checks and report damaged equipment.
• Follow PM procedures to extend asset life.
