Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Electrical Cabinet Fabricator in the United States for assembling electrical control cabinets based on drawings and blueprints. You will work with plasma cutters, drill tables, and hand tools to complete metal modifications and cabinet assembly.

The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings, lifting up to 40 lbs, and performing wire termination. Overtime may be needed to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience assembling cabinets or sub-assemblies.
• Able to read, understand and follow engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
• Able to efficiently operate hand tools.
• Able to mount components, pull and terminate wire.
• Able to work on elevated platforms.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electrical drawings and procedures.
• Use plasma cutter and drill table to modify sheet metal.
• Assemble cabinets and components according to drawings/blueprints.
• Assemble control cabinet and components in cabinet per drawings/blueprints.
• Terminate wires and perform electrical assembly tasks.
• Interface with supervisor/manager for progress updates.
• Maintain equipment and clean work area.
• Drive safety requirements and comply with policies.
