Job summary

Hunt Community in Nashua, NH is seeking a Cook II to prepare hot entrees, soups and vegetables for dining rooms, healthcare and special functions. You will follow recipes, perform advance prep, ensure quality and proper storage, and help with closing procedures.

Familiar with safety and sanitation rules, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, you will contribute to a clean, safe kitchen environment while supporting the team and residents.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow provided recipes.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Familiarity with privacy laws and confidentiality (preferably in a healthcare setting).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for complete meal preparation, including accompaniments and garnishes.
• Prepares hot entrees, soups and vegetables following provided recipes for all dining rooms and functions.
• Ensures eye-appealing, tasty food items and proper plate service.
• Performs kitchen closing procedures and advanced preparation as indicated.
• Completes food quality evaluations and temperature checks.
