Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate and maintain a diverse fleet of construction machines on site. This safety-sensitive role requires initiative, reliability, and the ability to follow complex instructions.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and document equipment conditions while contributing to a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork on our projects across New Mexico.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with a wide variety of construction machinery.
• Ability to follow safe work practices per safety program.
• Must wear safety footwear.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of construction machinery.
• Perform maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Promote safety and communicate jobsite hazards.
• Work in pipeline production per OSHA guidelines.
• Conduct trenching/excavating and earthwork tasks.
• Backfill and other earthwork as needed.
• Document equipment condition and servicing.
• Communicate with crew and external stakeholders.
