Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to read drawings, build and place concrete forms, and assist with concrete placement on foundations, slabs, columns and tilt-wall structures.

The ideal candidate has construction experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication with foremen and project teams, ensuring safety and quality throughout the concrete work.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairways.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; aid in reinforcing steel installation.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for accessing structures above ground.
• Coordinate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager on problems, material needs or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
