Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking experienced Concrete Finishers to support civil and heavy highway projects across the region. This role focuses on smoothing and finishing freshly poured concrete on roadways and structures, using floats, trowels, and screeds with attention to detail and safety.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of concrete finishing experience, be physically capable of demanding work, and be flexible for day or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of concrete finishing experience on civil, highway, or bridge construction projects.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools such as floats, trowels, and screeds.
• Ability to spread, smooth, and finish concrete to specified depths and textures.
• Knowledge of setting and aligning both prefabricated metal and wooden forms.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish freshly poured ready-mix concrete on highway roadway surfaces and other concrete structures to specified textures using hand or power tools.
• Spread concrete to a specified depth while maintaining proper consistency.
• Mix sand and cement by hand as needed.
• Use floats to bring water to the surface and produce a smooth finish.
• Set prefabricated metal and wooden forms to specified grades and alignments.
• Monitor and ensure the quality, finish, and texture of completed concrete work.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Perform additional labor-related duties as directed by the supervisor.
