Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of concrete finishing experience on civil, highway, or bridge projects.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools such as floats, trowels, and screeds.
• Ability to spread, smooth, and finish concrete to specified depths and textures.
• Knowledge of setting and aligning prefab metal and wooden forms.
• Physically fit to perform duties incl. bending, kneeling, or standing for long periods.
• Must be flexible to day or night shifts; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete on highways and structures using hand or power tools.
• Spread concrete to specified depth with proper consistency.
• Mix sand and cement by hand as needed.
• Use floats to surface water and produce a smooth finish.
• Set prefabricated metal and wooden forms to specified grades and alignments.
• Monitor quality, finish, and texture of concrete work.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• Perform additional labor duties as directed by supervisor.
