Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Concrete Finisher to perform high-quality concrete finishing on foundations, piers, walls, stairs, and slabs. You will read blueprints and plans to prepare layouts, set forms, and manage materials with attention to safety and teamwork.

You will lay out, form, place, and finish concrete using trucks, pumps, and hand tools, ensuring surfaces meet specified textures and tolerances. This role is on-site in Ohio and offers contract-to-hire opportunities for qualified individuals.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in concrete finishing.
• Experience reading blueprints and building plans.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Experience with rebar and reinforcement in concrete structures.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and plans to prepare layouts and determine dimensions.
• Organize and sequence tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Perform concrete flatwork preparation including forming and grading.
• Set up and remove concrete formwork for foundations, piers, walls, stairs, pits, trenches, and slabs.
• Place concrete for slab-on-grade and elevated decks using appropriate equipment.
• Finish and smooth concrete surfaces to required textures and tolerances.
• Saw cut control joints and apply curing compounds and sealers.
• Make repairs to cured concrete surfaces as needed to maintain quality.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
